Elks Student of the Month

Cozad High School proudly announces the recognition of two exceptional seniors, Mara Smith and Erica Weatherly, as Cozad Elk Students of the Month for January and February. This prestigious award reflects their outstanding contributions to both the school and the local community.

Erica Weatherly  Named January Elks Student of the Month

Erica Weatherly, a senior at CHS, is an outstanding example of leadership, dedication, and excellence. Ranked third in her class and named to the Exemplary Honor Roll every semester, Erica’s commitment to academics is unwavering. Her hard work and determination have earned her a well-deserved reputation for excellence both in and out of the classroom.

Erica’s leadership extends beyond academics. She has been a captain for Cheer, Volleyball, and Basketball, demonstrating her ability to motivate and inspire her teammates. As an active member of the Cozad National Honor Society, she has contributed to various community service projects, showcasing her dedication to making a difference. Erica also balances her busy schedule by working at Axxent Buildings and Doors.

Mara Smith Named February Elks Student of the Month

Mara Smith was recognized for her dedication to academics, leadership, and service. Throughout her high school career, she has excelled academically, earning either the Exemplary Honor Roll or Honors Honor Roll each semester. She balances her rigorous coursework with active involvement in cheerleading, student council, and the National Honor Society. Her commitment to excellence extends beyond the classroom and extracurricular activities.

Mara is also gaining valuable experience working as a CNA at Emerald Nursing Home while making time to volunteer for community projects. She exemplifies the spirit of dedication and service, always willing to lend a helping hand.
