Cozad High School is proud to announce the hiring of Jared Crick as its new head football coach. A native of Cozad, Nebraska, Crick brings a wealth of football knowledge and experience to the Haymakers, both as a standout collegiate player and a six-year veteran of the National Football League (NFL).
Crick played collegiately at the University of Nebraska, where he was an All-American and multiple-time All-Conference selection. During his time with the Huskers, he etched his name in the school’s record books, earning recognition as one of the program’s most dominant defensive linemen. His impressive college career led to him being drafted into the NFL, where he played six seasons with the Houston Texans and Denver Broncos.
Following his successful football career, Crick transitioned into the business world as an Account Executive at Farm Bureau Financial Services. Now, he returns to the game he loves, ready to lead and inspire the next generation of athletes at Cozad High School.
"I am proud and humbled to be announced as the Head Football Coach of my Alma Mater, to which I owe a great deal of credit and appreciation to the many that have come before me. Great people, who've shaped my life, resulting in the responsibility I now have before me as the leader of this program. We thank Coach Dueland for all of his hard work and commitment to Cozad Football, and we hope to take advantage of the winning environment he has helped create. Most importantly, we look forward to our opportunity to carry on the longstanding tradition of Cozad to build and encourage our students into becoming upstanding young adults through athletics. And finally, we hope to represent the community in a way that reflects the work ethic and morals of Cozad, Nebraska. Go Makers!” - Jared Crick
