Seniors your last day of school is fast approaching, and I want to congratulate you on reaching this milestone in your life! As you and I prepare for your last days at CHS here are a few reminders:
1. Graduation has been set for Saturday, August 1st at 11:00 am. We hope to hold a traditional ceremony if allowed under the existing Directed Health Measures at that time. Details on this and creating a “Virtual” ceremony will be communicated after June 1st.
2. For any students who will be unable to attend graduation in August, you will need to contact the high school office and arrange a time to pick up your diploma after August 1st.
3. The checkout process for seniors will be conducted on Thursday, May 14th. The checkout will be conducted in the following manner:
a. From 10:00 am. to 12:30 pm. students with last names A – L will checkout.
b. From 12:30 pm. to 3:00 pm. students with last names M – W will checkout
c. Students come to the parking lot on the west side of the high school (faculty parking lot). Students will need to remain in their vehicles until you are asked to get out and report to the checkout stations. School personnel will be wearing masks and gloves and we ask that you wear a mask as well.
d. You will need to bring the following items:
i. Chromebook and charger
ii. Textbooks
iii. Calculators checked out from the Library or math department.
iv. A check to pay for any unpaid fees (cap & gowns, class dues, etc)
e. Once you have completed the check-out process, you will receive your Cap, Gown, and Tassel. Remember to take care of your Cap, Gown, and Tassels as we do not have any extras to replace items that may have gotten lost.
4. Continue checking your school email this week. You will be receiving a message from either Mrs. Wolfe or Mr. Vetrovsky about creating a video congratulating the Class of 2020. We need your help following their instructions in creating the video so it can released at the original time graduation was to have occurred (Saturday, May 16th at 4:00 pm.).
