Class C-6 Softball Districts at Cozad have been postponed today due to weather. Games will be rescheduled for Friday and Saturday with an updated schedule posted later today. #cozadMakers
TIME CHANGE: The start times for today’s C-6 District games has been moved to 1:00. The Cozad Haymakers will take on the Chase County Longhorns on the EAST field at that time.

Cozad Elementary is collecting Box Tops again this year. Our goal is 12,000 Box Tops ($1,200). Please help us fill our minion (outside of our the elementary office) and reach our goal. Every Box Tops that has not expired counts!
SkillsUSA is pleased to bring Original Works to Cozad. Be on the lookout for your child to bring home their packet. Purchase products with your child’s artwork on them. Included in the packet is a letter, product list and their picture. If you would like to order, fill out the order form and send it back to school with your money (checks made out to Cozad Community Schools). If you do not want to purchase anything, then keep the packet at home and enjoy your child’s artwork.
The 2018 NSAA C-6 District Softball Tournament will be held in Cozad this Thursday and Friday, October 4th & 5th. Cozad will start the District Tournament on Thursday at 12:00 noon against Chase County.
Pumpkin Decorating Contest at Wilson Public Library--
Beginning October 1, Wilson Public Library cardholders can enter a decorated pumpkin to potentially win a prize. Submissions must be a pumpkin or gourd that has been decorated as the patron’s favorite book character, with the rest of the decorations are up to the patron’s imagination. No carved pumpkins or gourds allowed. Pumpkins must be dropped off by Friday, October 19, at 4:30pm and will be on display at the library for public viewing and voting October 22 to October 31. There are four categories for prizes: 0-Pre-K; K-5; 6-12, Adult, plus an additional grand prize winner. Winners
will receive gift certificates that will be decided by public choice. Wilson Public Library is located at 910 Meridian in Cozad. Please call the library at 308-784-2019 with questions.

ALERT: The C-6 District Softball Tournament is scheduled to be played on Thursday and Friday (10.4.18 & 10.5.18). The schedule will not be altered to play on Wednesday and any altering of the playing schedule due to weather will be only after the start of the tournament on Thursday.
REMINDER: This is a reminder from a previously posted announcement. There will be NO home volleyball games played against Holdrege on Thursday (10.4.18). This was a scheduling error due to NSAA schedule limits not allowing us to play this game. We again apologize for the inconvenience.
Congratulations to these individuals who made the auditioned Sing Around Nebraska Honor Choir group. The event will begin with Friday evening registration and rehearsal November 2, and will culminate with a concert at O’Donnell Auditorium at Nebraska Wesleyan University on Saturday, November 3, 2018 in Lincoln Nebraska. Congratulations to all who were selected.
