2016 CHS graduate Brandon Koch was at Cozad High today offering schokarships to juniors and seniors. Brandon is a Private in the US Army and will be leaving next week for a one year deployment to Cuba. Thanks Brandon for your service!

CMS Spring Formal this Saturday. Hosted by CHS Cheer. Open to all CMS students in grades 6-8.
If you are looking for an easy meal tonight the band is hosting a spaghetti feed in the High School commons. Meals are $7 and include Spaghetti, Garlic Bread, and a Dessert. All diners will gain free entry to the entertainment series tonight at 7:30 pm as an added bonus. We have to-go options for tonight if you would prefer. Thank you for your help and support! The proceeds from this event is to help band students raise funds for their educational performance trip to Kansas City later this month.

Reminder that the Cozad FFA Supper and Labor Auction is this evening, Friday, April 27th, at 6:00 in the CHS commons and gym. Meal is at 6:00 pm (free will donation) and auction begins at 6:45 pm. Come support your local FFA Chapter and purchase yourself eight hours of labor!
Just a reminder that Boys Basketball Summer Camp forms are due to Cozad Elementary by May 11th. Little Haymakers, Fundamentals 101, and Gym Rats camp forms can be found on the school website (http://www.cozadschools.net/summer-camps-2018) or picked up in the Cozad Elementary office. Congratulations to these students who earned Superior Ratings at District Music Contest for Solos and Small Ensembles. Chamber Singers earned student medals and a plaque for earning a Unanimous Superior. Bel Canto also earned a Superior Rating for their performance.
Cozad Community Schools is pleased to announce Mr. Zachary Stauffer as the new Head Girls Basketball Coach. Coach Stauffer comes to us from Archbishop Fremont Bergan Catholic where he has served as an assistant boys and girls basketball coach. Coach Stauffer has also served as a head coach/director of operations for Next Level Athletics. We look forward to having Coach Stauffer lead the Lady Haymakers next winter!
Cozad Community Schools is pleased to announce Mr. Jacob Brummer as the new Head Boys & Girls Cross Country Coach and Assistant Track & Field Coach. Coach Brummer brings a great background in running and track and field to Haymaker athletics spanning from his time as a decathlete at Chadron State College to his current position at Hemmingford High School. We look forward to having Coach Brummer and his family in the Cozad community!

CMS 6th Grade Students were able to visit and tour the Henry Doorly Zoo on Wednesday, April 25th. They watched sharks being fed, had time to meet and visit with a zookeeper, and spent the afternoon touring many of the exhibits at the zoo. CMS received a grant from the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo to help make this field trip possible. Teacher Sponsors included HaLea Messersmith, Barry Mraz, Carly Rexing, Kelli Teahon, Mark Mesner, Stacie Blackmore, Patty Margritz, and
Shelli Gill.
