Our JV/Varsity Girls and Boys Basketball teams take on our neighbors to the west, Gothenburg, tonight. JV starts at 4:00 PM, followed by Varsity Girls at 5:30 PM and Varsity Boys at 7:00 PM.

We would like to welcome Stacey Mundell as the newest member of the Cozad Community School Board! While Stacey has attended many school board meetings in the past, last night marked her first as a board member in her new role. She steps into the position previously held by Mrs. Ann Burkholder, and we are grateful for Ann’s contributions and dedication to our district. Last night at the monthly school board meeting, the District calendar for the 2025-2026 school year was officially approved. You can find a PDF version of the calendar on our district website under "Documents - District".
CHS SENIORS & PARENTS: A reminder that tomorrow night (Wednesday - 1/15/25) is the FAFSA Application Open House from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the high school Library. Please park in the east student lot and enter through the east HS entrance. EducationQuest will be available to help families with the FAFSA Application. Remember, as was communicated last week, EducationQuest recommends creating your account/ID at least five days prior to FAFSA application. If you have not created an account, you may not be able to complete the application tomorrow evening. If you can't attend tomorrow's event you can schedule an appointment with EducationQuest. Our Varsity Girls Wrestling team will be at the Norm Manstedt Invite in Columbus at 10:00 AM, while the Boys JV Wrestling team heads to the Gothenburg Invite at 3:00 PM. It’s the final day of the Runza Holiday Basketball Tournament, and both Cozad teams are ready to compete in Central City! The girls will face Wilber-Clatonia this morning at 11:00, while the boys take on Wilber-Clatonia this evening at 7:45. Let’s cheer loud and proud as our Haymakers wrap up the tournament strong.
